Full job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepares equipment for operation by making equipment adjustments and loading or changing materials.

2. Reads, interprets, understands and efficiently performs multiple assembly operations by following work instructions, safety guidelines and other organizational policies, procedures, and rules.

a. Installs parts such as hatches, marine hardware, metal trim, seats and windshields using hand tools and portable power tools.
b. Cuts or grinds mounting bases or brackets, using portable electric saws and grinders,and bolts or screws them in place.
c. May grind interior and exterior contours of hull to remove burrs and rough edges, using portable grinder

3. Follows established assembly processes and does not deviate without proper written approval from management.

4. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Educational and Work Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred. One or more years of assembly experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. Reading/comprehension, speaking and writing in English at 9th grade equivalency level. Ability to complete written forms, read routine procedures and correspondence.

Environmental and Working Conditions

Works in all areas of organization. Working environment is characterized by loud noises and general production conditions. Conditions may be hot and humid; manufacturing building is not air conditioned and is subject to seasonal temperatures.
