Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Cloud Platform Engineering team.

You will help design, build, and operate the AWS infrastructure and tooling that our product and engineering teams rely on every day. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who is comfortable owning critical infrastructure, automating everything, and driving platform reliability, security, and scalability at a senior level.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure in production environments
  • Deep experience with Kubernetes (cluster operations, workload scheduling, scaling,troubleshooting)
  • Experience with RDS and Aurora for relational database management at scale
  • Experience with SQS and SNS for asynchronous messaging and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with ArgoCD for GitOps-based continuous delivery
  • Experience with Atlantis for Terraform automation and pull-request-driven infrastructure workflows
  • Solid networking fundamentals, including hands-on experience with WAF, HAProxy, and Route53
  • Strong Terraform skills for infrastructure as code, including module design and state management
  • Experience with CloudWatch for logging, metrics, and alerting
  • 5+ years of professional software/infrastructure engineering experience, with demonstrated
  • seniority in cloud platform work
  • Strong scripting/programming ability (e.g., Python, Go, or Bash) for automation and tooling
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to operate effectively during incidents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document systems and collaborate cross-functionally

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience running workloads on Fargate
  • Experience with Concourse for CI/CD pipeline automation
  • Experience with Bottlerocket as a container-optimized OS for Kubernetes nodes
  • Experience with the Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for logging and search
  • Experience with Helm for Kubernetes application packaging and deployment
  • Experience with ECR for container image management
  • Experience with Bedrock or other AWS AI/ML services
  • Experience with CloudTrail for auditing and compliance
  • AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
  • Experience in a regulated or high-compliance environment
  • Familiarity with cost optimization strategies (e.g., FinOps practices) in AWS
