CNC Mill Setup / Operator

AS9100 Rev D, Aerospace Manufacturing Company in Huntington Beach has an immediate opening for a CNC Setup/Operator machinist. for 1st and 2nd Position

Setup and operate Multi Axis CNC Mills/ Gantries daily, following company policies and procedures while utilizing a high level of experience and good judgement.

  • Experience required setting up and running CNC Mills in the aerospace industry.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Tolerancing
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., or use forklifts/Big Joe lifts
  • Ability to properly utilize hand inspection tools (Mic’s & Calipers etc.)
  • Basic math required

Daily job duties but not limited to

  • Setup jobs on CNC mills utilizing job travelers, setup sheets, and programs.
  • Setup using raw material/fixture, clamps, vises, and indicators as needed.
  • Prepare cutting tools from tool list with proper length, and geometry verifying length offsets, diameters, etc.
  • Measure and verify key features on parts.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
  • Maintain equipment by following daily maintenance needs.
  • Complete paperwork as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.

The pay range for this position is from $22.00-$40.00 / HR (or salary equivalent) - DOE. Actual pay rates are determined on a case-by-case basis and take into consideration a wide range of factors, including a person's skills, qualifications and experience as well as general market and business conditions.
