Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chief Flight Instructor to join our team in Cheyenne, Wyoming and Loveland, Colorado. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality flight training to students, ensuring they meet all necessary competencies and adhere to Part 141 and 61 Federal Aviation Regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to educate diverse learners, and a passion for aviation. In person availability will be required at both locations.

Duties

  • Conduct flight training sessions in accordance with established curriculum and FAA 141 and 61 regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to various learning styles.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Perform all Stage and Final Checks for students as well as currency flights for instructors.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and training records.
  • Educate students on aircraft maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and operational standards.
  • Facilitate classroom instruction on aviation theory and practical applications.
  • Engage in public speaking activities during training sessions and workshops.
  • Collaborate with other instructors to enhance curriculum development and instructional strategies.
  • Support students in their journey to obtain necessary certifications and ratings.
  • Work with mechanics and other instructors to help coordinate scheduling and relocating of aircraft.
  • Assist with public events for marketing purposes.
  • Schedules and leads meetings with staff; meets with prospective students and parents; maintains a cooperative and communicative attitude with airport officials and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) personnel.

Requirements

  • Valid Flight Instructor Certificate and Certified Flight Instrument Instructor Certificate with appropriate ratings. Must meet FAR 141.35 requirements for single engine land operations. Must be able to pass FAA check ride.
  • Prefer Part 141 experience.
  • Strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
  • Experience working with students in an educational or training capacity.
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices is preferred.
  • Ability to develop engaging curriculum materials tailored to student needs.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student growth.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

  • Cheyenne, WY 82001: Relocate before starting work (Required)
