Full job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered Middle School Math Teacher who is passionate about making mathematics meaningful, engaging, and accessible for all learners. The ideal candidate will create a dynamic classroom environment where students are encouraged to explore concepts, think critically, and build confidence in their mathematical abilities. This teacher will play a key role in fostering curiosity, promoting collaboration, and helping students develop a growth mindset toward learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned math lessons that incorporate real-world applications
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies (e.g., hands-on activities, technology integration, group work) to promote active learning
  • Foster a classroom culture that encourages student participation, inquiry, and collaboration
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and support all learners
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
  • Use data to inform instruction and adjust teaching strategies
  • Create opportunities for student voice and choice in the learning process
  • Maintain a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in school activities, team meetings, and professional development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field
  • Valid Mississippi teaching license with endorsement in Mathematics (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Mississippi)
  • Experience teaching middle school students preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for student learning and academic growth

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
