Full job description
Looking for an adventure? Want a job that will keep you on your toes everyday? Want to leave working knowing you are making a difference in the life of a young man? Then this is the job for you! Predictable schedule with a fun outgoing family, who is seeking providers for their 21 year old son with Autism.
Bryson loves to walk around the metro parks, go to concerts, drive around town with the windows down listening to good music, go to the movies, take photos on his phone, going swimming, and do a little people watching. Although he is primarily nonverbal, he wears his emotions on his sleeve and finds a way to get his point across!
All upfront and ongoing training is provided by Brysons behavior consultant. Job includes fully supporting his daily routine to include toileting, showers, and dressing, expanding communication using an app on his phone, and supporting him in daily household chores/interactions with siblings, outings in the community, and whatever other adventure you may want to go on such as the zoo, conservatory, and COSI.
There is flexibility in the total hours per week, but weekend availability is mandatory. The priority shifts are Saturday and Sunday 7am-12 or 1 pm and Thursdays from 3:00-9:00 pm. In addition to this, we also can staff Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 3:00-8:00 pm. We can also provide supervision for RBT’s (registered behavior technician) and other field work hours. This is a great opportunity for those in the education field but those with no experience are welcome to apply also.
