Behavior Technician – Full-Time Hourly Position

$1,000 Signing Bonus | $22–$23/hour, Depending on Experience | Community-Based Autism Services

Join a passionate team transforming the lives of adolescents with autism through meaningful, community-based therapy. At The Estuary Center, a nonprofit located in Southwest Portland, we’re proud to offer full-day therapeutic services grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with a modern, dignity-centered approach. We’re looking for dedicated individuals to grow with us as full-time hourly Behavior Technicians—with guaranteed 39 hours of work per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Implement ABA programming as directed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Ensure safety and well-being of assigned client(s) during 1:1 and small group sessions
Provide support in both clinical and community environments
Accurately collect data, complete session notes, and communicate regularly with supervising BCBAs
Maintain state registration as an Oregon Behavior Analysis Interventionist and follow all related requirements
Keep workspaces clean, safe, and in line with CDC hygiene guidelines

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree requirred
Experience with children/adolescents or individuals with special needs
Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (1+ years required)
Reliable, responsive to feedback, and skilled in engagement, time management, and communication
Able to pass a comprehensive background check
Able to complete Oregon registration requirements, including 40-hour online training
Experience with data collection and session note documentation

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Physically active: must be able to walk, run, bend, kneel, crouch, and sit on the floor or furniture for extended periods

Required Before Independent Work

Read and understand Staff Handbook
Complete Oregon Behavior Analysis Interventionist registration
Demonstrate understanding of ASD, ABA principles, data collection, and intervention
Pass background clearance
Complete QBS Safety-Care crisis training
Provide proof of valid driver’s license and CPR certification
