Account Executive – Advertising & Marketing Sales

About Family Resource Group

Family Resource Group (FRG) is a trusted publishing and marketing company with active operations in six markets. We help local businesses grow through creative print and digital advertising, community storytelling, and innovative marketing tools like Geaux IQ.

We’re looking for a motivated and relationship-driven Account Executive to join our sales team. This person will work directly with local business owners and marketing managers in their assigned market to develop customized advertising and marketing campaigns that deliver measurable results. The assigned market may be in Birmingham, Denver, Oklahoma City, or Cincinnati.

Position Overview

As an Account Executive, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships with local advertisers, helping them promote their services through our print publications, digital marketing platforms, and community events.

You’ll prospect new clients, manage renewals, and work closely with our design and production teams to bring creative campaigns to life. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for helping local businesses grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing advertisers.
  • Prospect local businesses to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Present print, digital, and bundled advertising solutions that meet client goals.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Manage an active sales pipeline using our CRM.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to deliver client campaigns on time.
  • Attend networking events and community activities to represent FRG and build partnerships.
  • Provide exceptional client service from proposal through campaign delivery.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or account management (media or advertising preferred).
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and close sales.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working with revenue targets.
  • Experience using a CRM.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to attend local client meetings.
