Full job description

Position Overview

Teachers are responsible for providing quality evidence-based and/or curriculum-centered programming to club members in a safe, supportive, experiential learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement Project-Based Learning academic programs.
  • Stimulates interest in education and career development activities and encourages participation by all members.
  • Maintains a system of internal evaluation including individual student records, report card grades, attendance and progress.
  • Periodically reviews individual student diagnostic data to identify areas in need of support and intervention.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the educational program.
  • Maintains consistent communication with supervisor in relation to the clubs academic progress.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited university or college in a field related to education.
  • Must have a valid Florida Teaching Certificate.
  • Experience with Project-Based Learning.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work easily with people at all levels and geographies within the organization.

Compensation

This position is part time and offers an hourly rate of $35.00 per hour.

Regular schedule is Monday - Friday with hours falling between 3:00pm - 6:30 pm (10 hours per week) K-5th grade between 3:00-5:30 pm and Middle School between 4:00-6:30pm
