Hi there!

Sweetbox Delivery is a bakery that specializes in the production of stuffed bagels located in Spokane, Washington. We wholesale our products to grocery stores, distributors, and coffee stands all of around Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. We currently have a need for an Assistant Manager in our kitchen, that will be responsible for overseeing, training, and working with the crew through the setup, rolling, boiling, baking, wrapping, and clean up during daily production.

Starting wage is $20/hr during the 90 day training period, during which it will be required that all the positions in the kitchen will be learned and will become a proficient production manager for the company. After that, the salary wage begins at $46,800/year($22.50/hr).

For the right individual, there may be an opportunity to move up to the General Manager position which would encompass more responsibilities for the kitchen as a whole and that position's wage begins at $52,000/year($25.00/hr) upon completion of training.

We work 4 days/week Monday through Thursday and punctuality is a must for this position.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing in a kitchen or similar setting
  • 2+ years industry experience or in a similar production environment
  • Mechanically able to fix simple equipment
  • Strong knowledge of baking, kitchen safety, and kitchen equipment
  • Strong computer and file management skills including working knowledge of excel, word, and other basic programs
  • Clean driving record
  • Can lift 50lbs
  • Reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Operate all the processes required to produce a consistent product, including, but not limited to managing staff
  • Take responsibility for end-to-end workflow and execution of all baking, wrapping, and packaging duties
  • Work collectively with General Manager & Owner to solve problems, as they occur
  • Training new employees
  • Record inventory
  • Record & ensure daily tasks once are being completed
  • Communicate with General Manager and/or Owner promptly on issues concerning production and employees

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
