Job Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (with option to work other events throughout the year on a case-by-case basis or potentially move to year-round, full-time employment)

About Us: Farm to Fingers caters heavily to weddings in Southwest Colorado, local business events, as well as intimate home gatherings. We offer both an extensive hors d'oeuvres menu, as well as full-service catering, rentals, and bartending services. We strive to work with local farmers and small businesses to integrate their ethically produced goods into our grazing boards and catered meals.

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Catering Manager that thrives in a fast-paced environment to oversee our catering operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for managing catering events from inception to completion, ensuring the highest standards of service and client satisfaction.

This position is Seasonal from May through October and salary is based on time commitment and experience. Salary will range from $30,000 - $45,000, for the six month period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute catering events, including menu planning, food preparation, and on-site management.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the point of contact for clients during events, addressing their needs, preferences, and concerns to ensure a personalized and high-quality service experience.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff, ensuring they are well-prepared and adhere to company standards and procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality ingredients, equipment, and other necessary resources for events.
  • Quality Control: Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure that all items meet the company’s standards for quality and safety.
  • Marketing and Sales: Promote catering services through networking and direct client engagement to drive business growth.
  • Logistics: Handle logistical aspects of events, such as set-up, service, and break-down, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Availability: Must be available all weekends from May 1st through November 1st.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in catering management or a similar role, with a proven track record of successful event coordination.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
