Hiring immediately for 2nd and 3rd shifts
Full time 2nd shift position available, Work schedule is 2 pm to 10 pm, Monday through Friday.
Full time 3rd shift position available, including weekends.
Work schedule is 10 pm to 8 am Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, 8 pm to 8 am.

The Client Experience Associate (CEA) for HumanKind (HK) will work with the organization to achieve the successful inclusion of each resident of HK homeless and/or housing services and activities. The CEA will operate according to the Strengths Model, which will focus on training basic life skills in six domain areas, which include: Housing/Daily Living, Financial Support, Vocational/Educational, Social Support and Health & Recreation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee day-to-day activities of residents currently residing at an HK facility.
- Enforce HK rules for residency to ensure the smooth and orderly operation of the HK program.
- Assist residents in reaching self-identified goals.
- Model appropriate behavior and provide emotional support to residents.
- Mediate interpersonal problems between residents.
- Provide and support opportunities for residents to increase their living skills.
- Motivate residents to follow the required house rules, including daily bathing and clean clothes.
- Communicate with other staff to resolve problems with individual residents.
- Involve residents in community building activities.
- Arrange transportation for support services and when needed assist with filling out forms, applications, etc.
- Take action needed to ensure the HK facility is kept as clean and orderly, both indoors and outdoors.
- Promptly report any potentially hazardous condition to proper personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPECTATIONS
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good judgment in independent decision-making skills
- Responsible work history which shows a history of fulfilling obligations
- Must be compassionate with ability to communicate with a diverse population
- The ability to be adaptable and flexible as well as solid conflict resolution skills
Prefer:
- Experience with homeless population
- Experience with substance abuse
- Experience with mental health issues
- Other prior experience related to this position
- Familiarity with the mental health environment
- Demonstrated history of actively looking for ways to help those affected by homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance addictions
- Experience using MS Office applications, such as Word or Outlook
- Experience using the Internet to research and locate information
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will perform duties in both indoor and outdoor environments. Hazards of the position may include exposure to unpredictable resident behavior. Additionally, there may be a low risk for exposure to communicable diseases, including TB and/or Hepatitis B. The CEA may at times perform physical activities that require considerable use of a person’s arms and legs, while moving the whole body. The ability to climb stairs, lift up to 25 lbs unassisted, balance, walk, stoop and handle materials is required. The ability to perform activities while the whole body is in motion, exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects. Additionally, the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
