The Operations Team provides seamless and exceptional experiences for our community members. They focus on service, sales, risk management and cleanliness in the day-to-day operations of the facility.

YOU WILL:
- Be a fun, outgoing ambassador for the business and the sport of climbing both on and off the wall and on and off the clock.
- Exemplify outstanding service. Engage every guest: member, non-member, kid, and family.
- Stay up-to-date on facility offerings, upcoming promotions, events, staff training, and any and all recent communications
- Be a POS wizard. Understand how to uphold gym policies and problem solve customer queries at the front desk.
- Keep Approach Clean!
- Collect unpaid or past due classes/billing when noticed
- Dont give stuff away for free!
- Enter all class details where appropriate in participants POS system profile (auto-belay cert, additional passes etc)
- Ensure all bookings are prepaid in full
- Leave notes on account where applicable
- Ask your Shift Supervisor for support when needed
- Be able and available to value match customers with products based on their needs and experience
- Ensure completion of waivers by any new guest
- Merchandise and straighten products with direction and under supervision of the Operations Manager
- Stock and restock as needed all food items, display items, shirt sizes, etc.
- Use the tools available (air compressor, sprays and towels) to remove chalk off the retail area daily
- Use the facilities checklist to keep all areas of the facility clean and orderly. Never leave a space without making it look better than when you entered
- Be proactive in identifying areas of the facility that need cleaning and get support to make it happen.
- Support with Special cleaning chores and other projects/tasks as assigned by Shift Leader or Operations Manager
- Exercise risk management at all times
- Ensure first-aid supplies are stocked
- Give facility orientations to all new guests, including auto belay orientation
- Be on the lookout for guests rope climbing without certification tags
- Do facility risk management walkthroughs during your shift
- Keep an eye out for hazards in the gym (water bottles on mats, spilled beverages, bouldering over people, improper belaying, or belaying without a certification, unsupervised kids)
- Constantly strive for improvement - work hard, play hard
- Embrace change and present solutions to pain points
- Perform facility cleaning checklist duties as required
- Conduct continuous spot-cleaning with a focus on dust and chalk control
- Be a positive force on your team:
- Ensure the gym is clean and organized:
- Once properly trained and approved, teach classes including Intro to Climbing, Learn the Ropes and other introductory classes, as required
- Help facilitate training of new hires as necessary
- All other duties as requiredQualifications
YOU HAVE:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in sales
- A strong sense of motivation and a drive to see a job well done
- Experience using Approach (or another POS system) and/or CRM software is a plus!
- Knowledge of and/or experience in the rock climbing, fitness, and/or entertainment industries - a plus but not required!
- Interest in learning or developing rock climbing skills is a plus

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
