Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes and quality standards while maintaining a clean and organized work station. You’ll work as part of a fast-paced kitchen team to deliver consistently excellent dishes.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook food items on the line according to standardized recipes.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before and during service.
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet restaurant standards.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food storage and cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with staff
- Assist with cleaning and organizing the kitchen and equipment at the end of each shift.
- Manage prep work for the next day’s service.
- Monitor food inventory and report low stock levels to the kitchen manager or chef.
- Comply with portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen procedures.
Requirements
- Experience as a line cook or prep cook (1+ year(s) preferred).
- Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and techniques.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends. (Thursday - Sunday)
- Food handler’s permit or certification (as required by local health regulations).
