Dance Instructor

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and experience working with children, particularly in early childhood education settings. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching dance classes to preschool-aged children, fostering a love for movement and creativity while ensuring a safe and engaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate dance lesson plans that promote physical activity, creativity, and self-expression.
• Teach various dance styles to preschool children, focusing on foundational movements and techniques.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive and respectful atmosphere for all students.
• Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage their growth in dance.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a cohesive learning experience for students.
• Organize performances or showcases to highlight students' achievements and progress.
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in dance instruction, particularly with preschool-aged children.
• Background in early childhood education or childhood development is preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage young learners effectively.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support children's learning experiences.
• Additional skills in culinary arts or sewing are considered a plus but not required.
• A passion for working with children and fostering their love for dance.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3.0 – 8.0 per week
