Overview
Join our family owned dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare to all ages. In this energetic role, you will support dentists by preparing patients, assisting during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our busy dental clinic. You will be working with both a general dentist and the pediatric dentist. Your expertise in dental procedures, patient care, and medical documentation will help create a comfortable environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their treatment. Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments using aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards.
  • Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all tools and materials are ready for use.
  • Take and develop X-rays and other medical imaging to assist with accurate diagnoses while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Manage patient records using Eaglesoft
  • Support patients by taking vital signs, explaining procedures in understandable terms, and addressing their concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring all equipment is functional and sterile for each patient.
  • Collaborate closely with the dental team to facilitate four-handed dentistry techniques for faster, more efficient patient care.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
  • Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic or other medical documentation systems is a plus.
  • Ability to operate X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging equipment safely and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to pediatric patients and their families
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and patient confidentiality.

Pay will be determined according to experience
