Digital Press Operator

Truax Printing is a family owned and operated commercial printer with over 60 years experience in the industry. We are seeking a reliable individual to be a dynamic member of our team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of digital presses and digital post-press equipment. Our digital press operators work with digital files to create quality printed products.

Responsibilities:

-Operate digital presses and finishing equipment to meet or exceed customer expectations of producing a quality digital print products such as forms, booklets, stationery, and more.

-Meet customer expectations of timely delivery by maintaining schedules for digital print jobs and maintaining inventory of supplies and parts.

-Prep files to print by use of software

-Performing bindery processes required to create finished products per order specifications, including but not limited to cutting, trimming, and binding.

-Conduct regular maintenance on equipment to achieve maximum machine performance based on equipment specifications and acquired knowledge of machine operations. Record maintenance and service calls as required.

-Maintain organized workspace, along with general housekeeping duties. Including maintaining an organized inventory of consumables, paper stocks, etc.

-May be assigned to other duties in print shop as mandated by workload.

Requirements:

-Good physical dexterity is required. You will be spending the entire shift on your feet. Ability to occasionally lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.

-Experience with digital printing or other printing processes is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

-Possess basic computer skills.

Shift : 8am - 4pm, Mon-Fri

Overtime required when requested by management.
