About Parkinson Wellness Recovery | PWR!

Since 2010, Parkinson Wellness Recovery (PWR!), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has empowered people with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) by bringing to life the promise of exercise as medicine. Founded on Dr. Becky Farley’s groundbreaking research, PWR! delivers evidence-based programs that help individuals with PD lead longer, stronger, and better lives. Job Summary:

We seek a mission-driven leader with a proven track record of management, operational excellence, and supporting a high-performance culture.

The Director of Operations will optimize systems, drive measurable results, and collaborate with the CEO to advance our vision while preserving our creative, mission-focused principles. This role requires strong financial, HR, and operational expertise and the ability to empower a diverse, caring, and talented team.

The Director of Operations will also ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational goals. Working closely with the CEO and other senior leadership, this role will translate strategic priorities into practical, actionable plans — strengthening systems in finance, HR, and operations to support our mission and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operational areas such as program support, administrative operations, facilities, service providers, and HR processes
  • Monitor and streamline internal policies, processes, and infrastructure to support organization
  • Ensure IT and operational resources and policies support the needs of organization, staff, clients, and programs
  • Maintain risk management mitigation frameworks for finance, HR, compliance, and data security

Financial Management

  • Assist in annual budgeting, financial reporting, operational planning, and audit
  • Track and report to the CEO on financial, operational, and strategic plan challenges and milestones

Staff Support

  • Assist with HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding/offboarding, training, documentation, and policies
  • Help support a caring, collaborative, mission-aligned culture through leadership, appreciation, and staff development

Fundraising and Community Relations

  • Represent PWR! at public events when necessary and advocate for its mission
  • Collaborate with the CEO on revenue generation, grants, and donor and stakeholder engagement

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, finance, business, or another related subject
  • Experience managing finance, budgets, staff, programs, and operations
  • Progressive experience in a leadership role
  • 3 or more years of experience in operational/administrative/financial management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in management, finance, business, or another related subject
  • 7 or more years of experience in operational/administrative management
  • Leadership experience in a non-profit organization
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Physical Requirements:

This job is deemed a light-duty job, as defined by the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 404-1567: (b) Light work. Light work involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work, you must be able to substantially do all these activities. If someone can do light work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary work, unless there are additional limiting factors such as loss of fine dexterity or inability to sit for long periods.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
