Engineering Technician III

Overview
The Engineering Technician III will support production operations by performing hands-on rework and refurbishment of used military equipment. This role involves disassembly, light testing, component cleaning, and preparation of units for reuse. The Engineering Technician III is expected to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while following established procedures, safety standards, and quality guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Disassemble and teardown units received from the fleet, including removing cans and other components as required.
• Perform basic functional testing using provided procedures, tools, and equipment.
• Clean and wash boots and internal components to prepare units for reassembly or further processing.
• Identify basic defects, wear, and rework needs, reporting issues to the Production Lead or Supervisor.
• Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and quality standards to ensure consistent output.
• Maintain an organized workstation and ensure tools and equipment are properly cared for.
• Use basic computer systems to enter data, record test results, track work orders, or update status in ERP/production systems.
• Support continuous process improvements and assist with troubleshooting activities as needed.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Entry-level experience using hand tools and power tools (drills, wrenches, torque tools, etc.)
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, following digital work instructions)
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Ability to obtain and hold a secret level security clearance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.30 per hour
