About:

ISLSNAC's Taste Vacation is a Caribbean food resort pop-up shop that offers delicious authentic Jamaican and Caribbean snacks/pastries, specialty drinks, West Indian groceries, and vacation amenities. We are seeking an astute sales professional to operate our Caribbean snack food and beverage resort pop-up shop and Restaurant Cafe in Hampton Roads, Virginia.

Job Description:

As an Event Marketer at ISLSNAC's Taste Vacation, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our Caribbean snacks, pastries, specialty drinks, and other products at various events and locations. Your main objective will be to engage with customers, generate sales, and create a memorable experience for all attendees. This role requires excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver, set up, and distribute merchandise while collecting payment from customers.
  • Write and record orders for merchandise or enter orders into computers.
  • Explain products or services, including their features, benefits, and pricing, and demonstrate the use of products.
  • Contact customers to persuade them to purchase merchandise or services.
  • Arrange buying parties and solicit sponsorships to sell merchandise.
  • Answer questions about product features, benefits, and attributes.
  • Circulate among potential customers, either by foot, truck, automobile, or bicycle, to deliver or sell merchandise.
  • Develop prospect/email lists for targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Distribute product samples or literature that details products or services.
  • Order or purchase supplies as required.
  • Set up and display sample merchandise at parties, booths, or stands.
  • Stock carts or stands with merchandise.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
