Job Description Overview:

• Your job will be to report to the FedEx terminal at 9999 Olson Drive, San Diego, California 92121 at 8:30 A.M. (average 8-hour day) when scheduled, where they have pre-loaded the truck with packages for the day. You will then drive the delivery vehicle and deliver 100% of daily assigned packages to residents and businesses, then bring back the truck to the FedEx terminal with the pick-ups for the day which FedEx will unload.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $185 per Day
• $1 per Stop over 150 Stops (categorized as bonus in paystub)
• Performance Based Raises
• Paid Training (including route procedures, standard equipment operations, customer service skills, and driver safety)

• 401k eligible after 90 days
• Paid weekly every Friday
• Flexible Scheduling (1-6 Days a Week) and Consistent Work

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
• Possess an active valid Class C (Non-CDL) driver's license.
• Minimum 6+ months as a FedEx Ground, FedEx Express, or UPS Delivery Driver.
• Minimum 1+ year(s) of driving experience in the last 3 years. (prior package, trucking, and other related industry experience is preferred)
• Pass a DOT Physical Exam by a physician, then obtain a valid Department of Transportation Medical Examiner Certificate (Paid by FedEx)
• Pass a Drug Screening includes marijuana (Paid by FedEx). Random drug tests are administered throughout employment.
• Pass a Criminal Background Investigation (per FMCSA requirements)
• Pass a Motor Vehicle Report (Clean DMV Record)
• Must be able to start work at 8:30 A.M.
• Must be available at least 1 weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
• Preferred Scheduling Availability: Open availability Monday through Sunday
• 16 ft. delivery truck or larger, equipment, uniforms, dolly provided
• Ability to get in and out of a 16 ft delivery truck or larger
• Exceed expectations of 15-20 stops per hour on all Home Delivery (Residential) Stops
• Exceed expectations of 10-15 stops per hour on all Ground (Business) Stops
• Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance; up to 150 lbs with the assistance of a dolly.
• Maintains professional appearance and demeanor.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Safe operation of company vehicles
• You will be working in a fast-paced environment, with strict attention to detail and safety.
• Reliably transport to 9999 Olson Dr., San Diego, CA 92121, and meet scheduling demands.

Responsibilities:

• Precise deliveries and pickups of packages to both homes and businesses
• Handle and maneuver packages of varying sizes and weights without damage to the packages, vehicle, or yourself.
• Operate delivery vehicles safely and securely
• Effectively use scanner GPS to arrive at your destinations accurately
• Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections on delivery vehicles including checking vehicle fluids at the start and end of each day to ensure trucks are properly functioning
