Experienced Mechanic

We have immediate openings for our 1st shift full-time Mechanic position.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair our privately owned trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with engine maintenance, brake systems, hydraulics, and electrical components. Responsibilities include conducting routine servicing, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring all repairs meet safety standards. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools
• Repair or replace defective parts, including brakes, engines, and transmissions
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used

Hours: Shift is generally from 8AM – 4 PM Monday – Friday, but may vary based on the needs of the business. Weekends are as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a mechanic or similar role.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostic tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification or relevant experience required.
• Persistently punctual.
• Physically capable of standing, bending, stooping, or crouching in tight spaces, under vehicles and in awkward positions.
• Ability to lift or exert force of 50+ lbs.
• Manual dexterity to handle tools, small parts and precision instruments.
• Stamina to work in physically demanding environments, including extreme temperatures.
• Visual acuity to inspect parts and diagnose mechanical issues.
• Hearing ability to detect unusual engine noises or malfunctions.
• Read, write and speak clear English that can be easily understood over the phone.
• Access to a cell phone.
• Reliable transportation to work. (Personal vehicle preferred but not required)
• Able to pass a pre-employment, accident-related, or reasonable suspicion drug test. Because you will be operating heavy machinery, use of marijuana will also eliminate your chances for the position.
• A clean driving record - the following will make you ineligible:

o Two or more at-fault accidents within the last three years.

o One or more major convictions within the last three years.

o Three or more moving violations within the last 3 years.

o Expired or suspended license.
