We are not a typical restaurant, and this is not a typical serving job.

We are a community-centered tea room rooted in hospitality, relationships, and attention to detail. Many of our guests are regulars. They celebrate birthdays, host bridal showers, gather after church, and bring their family and friends in for tea traditions. We know their names. We remember their favorite teas. We anticipate their needs before they ask.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a professional, experienced server (minimum 2+ years required) who understands elevated service standards and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

This role blends traditional serving responsibilities with hostess support, catering coordination, and full operational participation. You must be comfortable moving quickly while maintaining grace, precision, and warmth.

This is a hospitality role, not just an order-taking role.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Guest Experience

• Greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism
• Provide attentive, polished service throughout the dining experience
• Learn and remember regular guests and their preferences
• Guide guests through tea selections and menu offerings with confidence
• Maintain a fine-dining level of detail and presentation

Service & Operations

• Take accurate orders using our POS system
• Run food and tea service with care and attention to presentation
• Bus and reset tables efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of service stations and dining areas
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Complete side work thoroughly and consistently

Catering & Administrative Support

• Assist in managing and packaging catering orders
• Help coordinate timing and accuracy for off-site orders
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and management to ensure smooth execution

Teamwork

• Support hostess duties during peak times
• Step in wherever needed to keep service flowing
• Work collaboratively and respectfully with the entire team

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2+ years serving experience (required)
• Experience in upscale or detail-oriented dining environments preferred
• Strong POS proficiency and comfort handling payments
• Excellent communication and math skills
• Ability to multitask without sacrificing service quality
• A natural sense of hospitality and guest awareness
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• A true team-player mindset
