Job description

Located in the beautiful town of St. Augustine Beach, Del Mar Veterinary Hospital is a boutique-style practice that specializes in providing high-quality, low-stress care to dogs, cats, birds, and other small patients.

Del Mar Veterinary Hospital is proud to serve St. Augustine and the surrounding areas. Our fully dedicated Fear-Free approach (as a Fear-Free Certified Practice) allows us to provide the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our pets and giving them the same loving attention and care. We are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care possible.

What also sets Del Mar apart? We are a full-service hospital accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Accreditation by AAHA means, that an animal hospital has been evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary excellence.

We take the culture and working environment within our practice very seriously as we believe wholeheartedly in the importance of work-life balance and maintaining enjoyment and fulfillment in what we do. The clinic is privately owned (not corporate) and managed in a team-oriented approach with feedback to management always encouraged. Most importantly, we do not tolerate belligerent, aggressive, or otherwise abusive behavior from our clientele - we want to work with our clients, not against them! We are open Monday through Friday, and open some Saturdays (usually once or twice a month), by appointments only.

Del Mar Veterinary Hospital is looking for a friendly, caring, positive, detail-oriented, and organized full-time medical team member, to be part of our “Fear-Free” work family. The ideal candidate will be proficient with computers, multi-line phone system, typing (+40 WPM), attention to detail (data entry), be proactive when it comes to patient care, be professional, enjoy helping people, be capable of multi-tasking, feels comfortable to lead, and commit to providing our patients with the gentle care they deserve.

PLEASE NOTE: Our main goal is to hire someone interested in growing with Del Mar in a lead role within the medical department. The candidate who is looking to apply to this position just as a "stepping stone", or is only interested in working part-time, will not be considered.
