Full job description
Welder and Fabricator 1st Shift
1. Demonstrate the ability to properly set and adjust your welder for the varying types and thicknesses of material to produce a proper weld with good penetration. This includes gas settings, wire feed rate, and amperage settings.
2. Demonstrate the ability to perform preventative maintenance on your welder to keep it running properly and efficiently. This can include, but is not limited to, replacing tips and nozzles, and removing jammed or tangled wire.
3. Demonstrate the ability to determine proper fixture settings or component placement through use of blue prints and mathematical calculations, as well as the ability to read and interpret work instructions, weld standards, policies, etc.
4. Demonstrate the ability to read prints to produce parts that meet external or internal specifications. Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret weld symbols on prints and produce welds that match the given specifications.
5. Demonstrate the ability to create and verify basic weld fixtures as required to build product to meet external and internal specifications. Demonstrate the ability to fluently and properly use and maintain integrity of existing welding fixtures used to build product to external and internal specifications.
6. Demonstrate the ability to lay a proper weld bead, avoid weld defects (such as porosity, undercutting, inclusions, etc.) and maintain proper penetration and weld size to all print specifications. b. Pass an annual weld test per company policy for the welding process. The test is internally developed and issued
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
