Facility Cleaning Coordinator

General Function:

Under the leadership of the Housekeeping Coordinator and consistent with YMCA core values (honesty, caring, responsibility, and respect) and YMCA mission (To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all) the housekeeping person will be responsible for all cleaning of equipment and facility. This person will also help create a clean and positive environment for all to have a positive and rewarding experience at our YMCA.

Requirements:

· Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

· Must have acceptable documents to complete Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.

· Acceptable Criminal Background check.

· Knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment.

· Overall ability to follow detailed instructions.

· Reliable transportation and the ability to begin scheduled shifts on time and properly dressed.

Principle Responsibilities:

· Ensure all cleaning jobs are completed to the YMCA's best standards.

· Ensure all stock is put away and cleaning supplies are ready for the next shift.

· Must be at work on time.

· Alert the Housekeeping Coordinator to any equipment needs or product needs

· General cleaning throughout the facility including Trash removal; Floor Care-sweeping,

mopping, and scrubbing; dusting; polishing; and maintaining overall cleanliness of the facility.

· Areas include Facility interior including restrooms and locker rooms, upstairs balcony area,

gym, hallways, stairwells, main lobby area, cardio strength center, multipurpose room, and all

other programs, office, or meeting areas. And exterior entryway, sidewalks, parking lot, and

grounds.

· Ability to perform job duties with a positive attitude.

· Any other duties assigned.

Physical Requirements:

· Often requires individuals to stand, stoop, climb, bend, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $13.73 - $16.00 per hour
