Floor Supervisor

Floor Supervisor - Fredonia, NY

Pay: Starting at $20-23, depending on experience.

Main Purpose of Job: We are looking for a technically skilled individual with excellent attention to detail for the position of Floor Supervisor with experience in operating a forklift.This role will be responsible for supervising employees, overseeing production as well as moving material by operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The goal will be to ensure that production standards are meant, and material and products are in the correct location to achieve maximum efficiency.This individual will be responsible, hardworking, and a team player!

Job Duties:

• Ensure daily sales/production goals are met
• Adhere to production schedules
• Assign duties to employees and follow up to ensure timely completion of work
• Manage daily schedules and employee shift assignments
• Provide guidance and feedback to employees and provide additional training as needed.
• Evaluate staff performances and work together to find solutions to any concerns
• Work to resolve conflicts that arise between employees
• Comply with company and industry policies and safety guidelines
• Execute assignments accurately, timely and in a safe manner
• Ensure all employees are working in accordance with all safety, company and industry laws, procedures and policies.
• Ability to safety operate a forklift to transport materials to different locations within the facility
• Inspect vehicles for damages
• Identify workplace safety hazards and work to find a resolution
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facility
• Adhere to safety management standards
• Ensure industry rules and regulations are followed

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting on a powered industrial truck
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn and pivot for long periods of time
• Having a good sense of balance
• Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Experience:

• Forklift: 1 year (Required)
• Manufacturing Supervisor: 1 year (Preferred)
