Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented flooring installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in flooring installation and restoration, with experience in various construction tasks. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and the ability to work efficiently on construction sites. The employee will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of flooring materials and/or performing professional carpet cleaning services, including stain removal, deep cleaning, and maintenance treatments, while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties

Install a variety of flooring materials that may include tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation requirements.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for flooring installation tasks.
Perform water damage restoration and repair as needed.
Execute trim carpentry and cabinet installation as part of the flooring process.
Conduct concrete finishing work when required.
Provide floor care services including cleaning, buffing, and maintenance.
Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects to ensure timely completion.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.

Requirements

Proven experience in flooring installation. Some on the job training available.
Familiarity with construction estimating and blueprint reading.
Strong skills in carpentry, caulking, fixture installation, and restoration processes.
Experience in the restoration and/or carpet cleaning industry is a plus.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with construction work, including lifting heavy materials.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Previous maintenance person experience is beneficial for this role.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
