FS, Inc. is looking for qualified Heavy Equipment Operator candidates with the ability to safely and efficiently operate a variety of equipment that includes, but is not limited to: Loaders, Excavators, Skid Loaders, Haul Trucks and related attachments.

In addition to the proper and safe operation of equipment, the Heavy Equipment Operator will also be responsible for inspecting, providing preventative maintenance, and occasionally repairing equipment when required. Candidate would need to be able to prepare materials, tools, equipment at construction sites. Must be able to adapt to outdoor working conditions year around.

Job activities include but are not limited to:

  • Operate various pieces of large equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment by performing regular checks on their functionality.
  • Document regular maintenance checks to maintain adequate records of equipment performance.
  • Provide preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and operating properly.
  • Regularly clean equipment to preserve its quality and functionality.
  • Perform minor repairs on equipment issues.
  • Report needs for larger repairs to the appropriate parties.
  • Abide by all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as all company safety procedures.
  • Commit to the overall safety of the work environment by taking extra precaution to work with the utmost care and consideration.

Required Qualifications:

  • Three years or more experience working with and operating various types of heavy equipment.
  • Has completed, or will complete within first work week, the OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Course (FS will provide training at no cost if needed).
  • Has completed, or will complete within first work week, the MSHA Annual Training Course (FS will provide training at no cost if needed).
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Class A CDL

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment, as well as safety standards.
  • Ability to maintain, inspect, clean, and occasionally repair pieces of heavy equipment.
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.
