Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to assist in construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other machinery safely and efficiently across various construction sites.
- Prepare and level sites by using dozers and loaders to move earth, gravel, or other materials as required for project specifications.
- Load and unload materials
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use; perform basic maintenance or report issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks effectively
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, backhoes, and front loader trucks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Construction site experience with an understanding of safety standards and operational procedures.
- Familiarity with farm machinery and other specialized equipment used in construction environments.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating tasks effectively within a team environment.
