Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary
Responsible for operating and maintaining heavy machinery used in earthworks, underground utilities and other work fronts, ensuring safety and efficiency in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials.
• Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment.
• Always observing safety policy and procedures.
• Communicating with coworkers to elucidate project specifications, as needed.
• Reporting injuries and other accidents to the line manager.
• Daily maintenance / cleaning of assigned equipment including checking and logging all fluid levels as required by mgmt..
• Advising the equipment manager of requisite upgrades, repairs, and replacements as required.
• Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
• Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency

Requirements

• Heavy Equipment Operation: Minimum 1 year, preferred 3+ years.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDL A (Preferred on-road only)

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
