Heavy Equipment Operator/Foreman

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, and adherence to safety regulations.

Duties

• Operate various types of heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop and adhere to project schedules using tools such as Primavera.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand project requirements.
• Implement OSHA safety standards and practices on the job site to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in budgeting processes by providing input on equipment usage and operational costs.
• Utilize construction management software, including ProCore, for project tracking and reporting.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using tools such as an ohmmeter to ensure minimal downtime.

Skills

• Proficient in project scheduling techniques with experience using Primavera.
• Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to safety standards.
• Experience with budgeting related to construction projects.
• Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
