HVAC Installer & Troubleshooter Job DescriptionThis describes a role where individuals are responsible for installing new HVAC systems and diagnosing/resolving issues with existing ones. Duties and Responsibilities

Installing new HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings, adhering to blueprints, specifications, and safety guidelines.
Performing diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify electrical and mechanical malfunctions in HVAC units, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, etc.
Repairing or replacing faulty components, connecting electrical wiring, and ensuring system compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Conducting routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, checking refrigerant levels, lubricating parts, and replacing filters.
Testing systems and components to confirm proper function after installation or repair, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Communicating effectively with customers to explain system issues, repair options, and provide guidance on maintenance and usage.
Maintaining detailed records of work performed, materials used, and service calls, documenting all interactions and actions taken.
Providing support and potentially guidance to junior technicians or apprentices.

Qualifications and Skills

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including installation procedures, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentation.
Knowledge and adherence to safety protocols and relevant building codes.
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities to efficiently identify and resolve system issues.
Mechanical aptitude and experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
Customer service and communication skills for interacting professionally with clients.
Physical stamina to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and potentially lifting heavy equipment.
Relevant certifications and licenses as required by the local jurisdiction (e.g., EPA certification for handling refrigerants).

Pay: $22.00 - $30.96 per hour
