Role Summary
The Impact Evaluation Manager ensures that Every Mother’s Advocate uses data to make the right decisions at the right time.
This role owns how ĒMA measures, analyzes, and learns from program performance. It is responsible for turning data into clear, actionable insights that strengthen decision-making, improve program effectiveness and measure what is driving outcomes, and ultimately increase family stability and prevent separation.
The Impact Evaluation Manager partners closely with program leadership to ensure data is not just collected but actively used. This role also builds the systems, tools, and workflows needed to make insights accessible, timely, and reliable across the organization.
What Success Looks Like
- Leadership and program teams regularly use data to inform decisions and adapt programs in real time
- Core program metrics are clearly defined, consistently tracked, and trusted across all sites
- Dashboards and reporting provide clear visibility into performance, risks, and opportunities
- Manual reporting and data work are significantly reduced through automation
- Program teams proactively identify trends and improve outcomes using data
- Funders receive clear, compelling, and outcome-driven impact reporting
Key Responsibilities
Insight Generation & Decision Support
- Analyze program data to identify patterns, trends, and early indicators of risk or success
- Conduct deeper analysis beyond basic reporting, including cohort comparisons, trend analysis, and statistical significance, to uncover meaningful insights and distinguish signal from noise
- Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for program and leadership teams
- Design and facilitate structured learning rhythms that enable teams to review performance and adapt
- Train and support staff and affiliates to interpret data and apply insights in their day-to-day work
- Ensure data is consistently used in program performance management and continuous improvement
Evaluation Design & Measurement Strategy
- Partner with leadership to define clear program goals and aligned performance metrics
- Ensure the organization is collecting the right data for decision-making and stakeholder needs
- Design and refine core measurement tools (e.g., Family Wellbeing Assessment)
- Establish consistent measurement practices across affiliates and program sites to enable reliable comparison and learning
- Support thoughtful evaluation approaches, including clear metric definition, consistent measurement, and analysis that strengthens confidence in results and the model
- Incorporate client and advocate perspectives into evaluation approaches to deepen learning
Data Systems, Automation & AI Integration
- Design and improve scalable data systems that enable real-time visibility into program performance
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems
- Establish clear data definitions and standards across the organization
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual reporting and data work
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, summarize insights, and improve workflows
- Identify gaps in data infrastructure and drive improvements
Stakeholder Reporting & Grants
- Develop clear, tailored reporting for leadership, program teams, affiliates, and funders
- Ensure stakeholders receive relevant, timely insights to support decision-making
- Partner with Advancement to support grant applications, reporting, and impact storytelling
Qualifications
Required
- 3–5+ years of experience in data analytics, evaluation, or related roles, with a track record of using data to inform decisions, improve performance, or shape strategy
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to structure complex or ambiguous problems
- Experience working with both quantitative and qualitative data
- Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences and drive their use in decision-making
- Experience improving data systems, workflows, or reporting to increase usability and decision-making speed
- Experience using AI or automation tools to accelerate analysis, generate insights, or improve workflows
Preferred
- Experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or similar roles that required translating data into decisions
- Experience supporting grant reporting or data-driven fundraising efforts
- Familiarity with child welfare, maternal advocacy, or family stability programs
- Experience working with CRM or case management systems
- Exposure to rigorous evaluation approaches (e.g., comparative analysis, quasi-experimental methods)
Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
