Xibitz is seeking a full-time or subcontractor Installer/Craftsman with at least five years of experience to join our fabrication team.

Xibitz Inc. is a custom architectural fabricator that partners with designer and architect firms to produce installation projects globally. Xibitz specializes in the design and execution of one-of-a-kind experiential spaces for the corporate, higher education, sports, museum, and healthcare markets. The company employs over 55 creative and skilled artisans who offer a great depth of knowledge and talent. Xibitz maintains an 80,000-square-foot facility in Wyoming, MI where their work that includes enhanced technology, lighting, mechanical, and media-based engagements get refined and fabricated before on-site installation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Travel within the continental US and possibly international with extended stays is required. Typically scheduled, but short-notice trips do occur. All business-related expenses are covered
- Professional and customer-oriented
- The ability to read prints, design documents and other project specifications
- Layout reference lines and points, computing location and position of elements to be installed
- Possess an eye for quality and sharp attention to detail
- The ability to work and effectively participate on a team
- The ability to work well with others and on your own
- The ability to manage workload and meet deadlines for assigned work
- Be able to shift focus between tasks without sacrificing quality
- Possess a problem-solving mentality
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- General cabinet-making and installation experience
- Wallpaper and graphic film installation desired
- Basic electrical knowledge desired
- Knowledgeable with construction materials and build methodologies
- Desire and curiosity to work on a variety of projects, with unique materials, demands, and expectations
- Ability to operate a table saw, miter saw, wood and metal band saw, routers, saber saw, drill press, drills, screw gun drivers, nail guns, belt sander, orbital sander, etc
- Familiarity and experience with the following materials: Hardwoods, plywoods, laminates, veneers, plastics, plexiglass, polycarb, glass, steel, aluminum, composites, vinyl, paint, glues
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in moderate to high noise levels in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to move about frequently changing physical environments
- Ability to stoop, lean, bend, squat, step over, duck, feel, to visually inspect projects

- Ability work safely and follow OSHA required safety rules and willingness to obtain OSHA 30
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver license required with the ability to obtain CDL
