Local CDL Class A Gravel Train Driver

Job Summary
DBL B Transport is seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to gravel trains (required), lead work, 8-axle live bottom, and flatbed operations. This role involves transporting aggregates and agriculture, safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of freight while maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism. The driver will start in a day cab, full-time. Some Saturdays and weekends required, home every night, with the exception of a compensated overnight from time to time. Flat rate & hourly options available. Full benefits for full-time employees available. This is NOT an 8-5, and do require every other weekend during busy season.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, gravel trains (experience is a must), 8 axle-flowboy, and occasionally flatbed.
• Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Conduct pre-trip or post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
• Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
• ELD are not used as we stay in the state of Michigan as of right now.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
• Communicate effectively with on staff mechanic regarding any issues or problems that may cause a breakdown or do not adhere to FMCSA or Michigan DOT regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all FMCSA safety regulations and company policies during transport.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Pre-employment & random drug screening is required.
• Experience with manual transmission vehicles is also required.
• Proven experience in commercial driving roles.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.50 per hour
