Job Summary
Join the DBL B team! We are seeking a professional CDL-A driver responsible for safely and strong knowledge of load securement, DOT compliance, and safe driving practices. You'll operate semi trucks with 53 ft flatbed trailers, equipped for hauling diverse cargo, including oversized or specialized loads, across local and regional routes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills, work independently, and be a vital part of our logistics network. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate flatbed trucks with manual transmissions on local routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Secure cargo properly on flatbeds to prevent shifting or damage during transit
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards
  • Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times and maintain schedule integrity
  • Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery updates, route changes, or any issues encountered during trips

Skills

  • Basic mechanical skills are required, to be able to repair / diagnose small issues to keep the truck on the road
  • Proven experience in truck driving, especially with flatbed trailers and route driving in a local setting
  • Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and tractor-trailer handling skills
  • Familiarity with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and securing cargo on flatbeds
  • Ability to pull gravel trains and flowboy if needed
  • Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT regulations
  • Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or route planning tools
