Position Overview

Green Mountain Rifle Barrel Company, a leading manufacturer of precision rifle barrels and firearm components, is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Machine Operator to join our production team in Conway, NH. This role is ideal for individuals interested in building a career in advanced manufacturing, machining, and firearms component production.

The Machine Operator will assist in the operation of production equipment used to manufacture high-quality steel barrels and firearm components. This position provides hands-on training in machining, quality control, and production processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery used in the manufacturing of precision rifle barrels and firearm components.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from machines.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and notify supervisors of equipment issues.
• Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, and other measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist senior machinists and technicians with setup and production tasks as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining processes.
• Ability to follow written instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around production equipment and industrial machinery.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Monday – Friday (shift schedules may vary based on production needs)
