Position Overview

Green Mountain Rifle Barrel Company is seeking a skilled Experienced Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Conway, NH. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining precision machining equipment used in the production of high-quality rifle barrels and firearm components.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing or machining environment and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our products meet the high standards expected from one of America’s most respected barrel manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor machining equipment used in the production of rifle barrels and firearm components.
• Interpret work instructions, production schedules, and technical drawings to ensure parts meet required specifications.
• Make machine adjustments and tooling changes to maintain proper tolerances and product quality.
• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and work with maintenance personnel to resolve equipment problems.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Train and assist entry-level machine operators as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years of machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating CNC or precision machining equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and process documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and production equipment.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Monday – Friday (shift schedules may vary based on production needs)
