Position Overview

Green Mountain Barrel Company, a leading manufacturer of precision rifle barrels and firearm components, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support our production operations in Conway, NH. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and uptime across our machining and production facilities.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience maintaining CNC machining equipment and industrial production systems in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment including CNC machines, lathes, mills, rifling machines, and support systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues affecting production equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance according to established maintenance schedules.
• Assist in machine installations, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.
• Maintain and repair coolant systems, air compressors, conveyors, and facility mechanical systems.
• Work closely with production supervisors and operators to identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in maintenance logs or CMMS systems.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and assist with ordering replacement components when needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing equipment repair
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, and machine troubleshooting
• Experience working with CNC machining equipment and precision manufacturing machinery
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
• Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus
• Welding and fabrication experience is beneficial
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, and work around machinery for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing and machine shop environment

Education

• Technical school, trade certification, or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or related field preferred
• Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered
