This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in museum marketing and communications while contributing meaningfully to the work of one of the West’s premier art institutions. Limited-term internships will be considered, but ongoing engagements are preferred.

  • Support outreach to community organizations, influencers, and groups relevant to Museum programs, exhibitions, and audiences.

Marketing Team Support

  • Assist with email marketing production, including drafting content, building emails in the Museum’s email platform, and supporting list management as directed.
  • Support website maintenance including calendar event updates, exhibition content, and other directed edits using the Museum’s CMS.
  • Contribute to social media content research, caption drafting, scheduling support, and asset gathering.
  • Draft and proofread written content for a variety of marketing channels and materials as assigned.
  • Support the marketing team with research, fact-checking, and information gathering for campaigns, programs, and exhibitions.
  • Assist with basic image sourcing and asset organization to support marketing team workflows.

General

  • Work across marketing platforms and tools including website CMS, email platforms, social scheduling tools, and project management software.
  • Bring curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Punctual and reliable; able to adhere to scheduled hours and meet deadlines consistently.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in communications, journalism, marketing, art history, museum studies, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Strong writing skills with an ability to communicate clearly and adapt tone to different audiences and formats.
  • Detail-oriented with a good eye for accuracy and consistency across marketing materials.
  • Organized and self-directed; able to manage multiple tasks, track priorities, and follow through reliably without close supervision.
  • Genuine interest in public relations, media, and communications; coursework, internship experience, or personal projects in these areas a plus.
  • Comfort with digital tools and platforms; familiarity with social media, email marketing, or website CMS tools a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with team members across departments.
  • Intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm for learning, and a proactive approach to new tasks and challenges.
