Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automotive/ Medium Heavy-Duty Truck Technician with 2-4 years of hands-on experience to join our growing team. The role is ideal for a motivated professional that takes pride in quality workmanship, diagnosing and solving complex mechanical issues, and can work independently with minimal supervision while positively contributing as a team player. Pay:
o $17-$25/hr (Dependent on certifications and experience)
At our company, an experienced Automotive/Heavy Duty Truck Technician is a dependable professional who keeps fleet and job sites running safely and efficiently. Our technicians accurately diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, take a proactive approach to preventive maintenance, and work confidently both in the shop and in the field environments. Safety, accountability, and clear communication are essential to commitment to continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
o Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on automotive, diesel, and medium-heavy duty equipment.
o Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
o Maintain equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and peak performance.
o Complete work orders and service documentation accurately and on time.
o Follow safety protocols and company maintenance standards.
o Collaborate with team members and communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
Qualifications:
o 2-4 years of experience as an automotive, diesel, or heavy-duty mechanic.
o Experience with Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance to ensure efficient operations and safety.
o Skills in Equipment Repair and troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical issues effectively.
o Proficiency in handling and repairing Heavy Equipment.
o Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
o Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
o Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
o ASE (T-Series) Certification (T2-T8)
o Any OEM Certifications (John Deere, Komatsu, Volvo, Bobcat, JCB, and etc)
o Associate degree in Diesel Technology EPA Certification
o OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
o DOT Inspection Certification.
o Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
o Ability to speak basic Spanish
o Welding
Preferred, but no required Certifications (These can leverage higher pay)
o CAN Bus/Multiplex System Training
o Hydraulics and Pneumatics Certifications
Equipment Experience (Preferred)
o Excavators
o Backhoes
o Skid Steers
o Dump Truck
o Cement Mixers
o Concrete Pavers
o Utility Trucks
