Responsibilities

Conduct hands-on forensic investigations in the mechanical engineering realm, including:

• Equipment and Machinery Failures
• HVAC and Plumbing System Malfunctions
• Vibration and Fatigue Analysis
• Manufacturing Defects and Material Failures
• Fire, Flood, and Storm-Related Mechanical Damage
• Dig into code research, failure mode analysis, and documentation to support your findings
• Develop scopes of work and budget estimates for projects
• Write detailed, clear reports that break down your investigative conclusions
• Juggle multiple cases with precision and efficiency

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Split your time between office analysis and field action—think industrial plants, rooftops, and crawlspaces.
• Be prepared to climb ladders, navigate tight spaces, inspect equipment at height, and drive to reach project sites.
