About Lakeside Health Institute

We are a newly established, state-approved healthcare training institution located in Evergreen Park, IL. Lakeside Health Institute is committed to building access, equity, and excellence in healthcare education, offering fast-track programs for Practical Nursing (LPN) and Basic Nursing Assistant (BNATP/CNA) students. We are currently seeking Inspiring, Qualified Nursing Instructors to help shape the next generation of healthcare workers.

Positions Available

We are hiring instructors to teach:
✅ LPN Program — Theory, Lab/Skills, Clinical Instruction
✅ BNATP (CNA) Program — Classroom, Lab, and Clinical Instruction

✅ Flexible schedules for theory, lab, clinical, or whichever setting you choose — make your own schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging instruction in the classroom, lab, and/or clinical settings
• Prepare lesson plans and materials aligned with Lakeside curriculum standards
• Supervise and evaluate student performance and skill development
• Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student records
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and professional learning environment
• Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and program development
• Uphold compliance with state regulations, program policies, and healthcare standards

Qualifications:

Associate Degree RNs are welcome to apply.

BNATP (CNA Program) Instructors

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• One year of experience in either:
• a. Teaching theory in an accredited nursing program, or
• b. Providing nursing care, including personal care and activities of daily living, to older adults or chronically ill adults
• Approved Evaluator Workshop completion required for Associate Degree or Diploma RNs (BSN or higher exempt)
• Must complete a Department-approved Train the Trainer Program if holding an Associate Degree or Diploma (BSN or higher exempt)
• Instructors for Alzheimer’s & Dementia Content must meet clinical instructor requirements and have at least 4 CEUs from an approved Alzheimer's training

LPN Program Faculty

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher
• Prior teaching experience preferred but not required

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• No weekends
• Weekends as needed
• Weekends only

License/Certification:

• Unencumbered Illinois RN License (Required)
