Full job description
This position consists of a variety of administrative operations duties related to the installation of reinforcing steel under general construction contracts. This is a full-time in-person position at our Grand Prairie office, following a minimum of 2 weeks paid training at our Houston Headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Payroll processing including review of timecards, daily and weekly documentation from field management, as well as processing of expenses and other payroll items as needed.
- Enter, maintain, and distribute schedules for assigned projects based on submissions from field management.
- Enter and submit purchasing requisitions for tools, equipment and other materials as needed for assigned projects.
- Maintain documentation, including scanning, filing, and mailing needed files.
- Work in conjunction with safety personnel, and office management to maintain records.
- Maintain project lists and data.
- Run, update, and distribute reports to provide visibility to project managers and upper management.
- Act as a liaison between field personnel and human resources as needed.
- Process applications for new hires.
- Assist other departments and perform related duties as needed.
- Initiate processes and procedures to suggest changes in workflow and components to meet existing requirements.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and administrative experience is required. Some college is preferred.
- Two + years in construction, manufacturing, and / or field environment preferred, especially with planning or scheduling experience.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) reading, writing, and speaking REQUIRED.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent knowledge of ERP software is a plus.
- Two + years' experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
