Operations Manager
Performance Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Operations Manager to lead and optimize our mechanical contracting operations. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient project delivery, driving continuous improvement, and aligning operational execution with strategic business goals. The Operations Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage resources, and uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop operations staff to drive accountability and operational efficiency.
Establish clear performance objectives, promote a positive team culture, and foster employee engagement.
Oversee operational workflows and procedures to enhance productivity, quality, and safety outcomes.
2. Project Oversight
Manage and coordinate multiple construction projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and client expectations.
Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field teams to allocate resources effectively.
Track project milestones, identify risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
3. Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes and reduce costs.
Develop and monitor performance metrics to assess efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead cross-functional teams in executing change management and lean construction practices.
4. Vendor and Supplier Management
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
Negotiate contracts and assess vendor performance to ensure alignment with company standards and cost targets.
Work closely with the procurement team to support supply chain efficiency and value engineering.
5. Compliance and Safety
Ensure compliance with all applicable industry regulations, codes, and company safety policies.
Conduct regular jobsite inspections and safety audits to maintain a culture of safety.
Stay informed of regulatory updates and best practices, implementing changes as needed.
6. Budgeting and Cost Control
Develop and manage departmental and project budgets, monitoring expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Analyze financial performance and report key operational metrics to senior leadership.
Promote a culture of fiscal responsibility and accountability throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of operations management experience in the mechanical contracting or construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, construction scheduling, cost control, and safety protocols.
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage teams and collaborate across departments.
Expertise in project management tools and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities with strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
