Compensation Clarity: The listed $90k–$110k represents base salary only. This role is also eligible for performance-based commission compensation with unlimited earning potential.
Primary Purpose & Function
The Partner Development Manager is responsible for identifying, acquiring, and expanding strategic Ag Retailer and Manufacturer partnerships to drive adoption and growth of Growers Edge’s warranty-backed Crop Plan and input financing solutions. This role works primarily with organizations within the CropLife Top 100, engaging senior commercial, agronomy, and operational stakeholders.
The Partner Development Manager owns the end-to-end partner acquisition lifecycle, from outbound prospecting and initial engagement through execution of partnership agreements. Ongoing partner performance and growth are supported in close collaboration with the Partner Success Manager.
This role is accountable for new partner revenue, pipeline health, and commercial execution, while aligning account strategies with broader company objectives. The position works cross-functionally with Business Development, Partner Success, Product, Risk, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful launch, scaling, and sustained performance of partner relationships.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Partner Acquisition & Revenue Growth
- Proactively identify and pursue new Ag Retailer and Manufacturer partnerships, primarily within the CropLife Top 100, through outbound prospecting, networking, industry engagement, and targeted account development.
- Build, manage, and convert a high-volume pipeline of qualified prospects to drive consistent net-new revenue.
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through execution of partnership agreements, with ongoing partner performance supported in collaboration with the Success Managers.
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact during partner onboarding and early-stage rollout.
Account Strategy & Commercial Performance
- Develop account strategies that align partner objectives with Growers Edge products, pricing models, and growth targets.
- Achieve assigned financial objectives related to revenue, margin contribution, and partner activation.
- Collaborate closely with the Partner Success Manager to ensure partners meet performance expectations and commercial milestones.
- Analyze partner performance, market dynamics, and portfolio results to inform expansion, retention, and profitability strategies.
Forecasting & Commercial Planning
- Maintain accurate pipeline, revenue, and activity forecasts using CRM tools and internal reporting processes.
- Forecast financial requirements by analyzing variances, identifying risks, and initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Provide market and partner insights to support product development, pricing strategy, and go-to-market planning.
Market Presence & Industry Engagement
- Represent Growers Edge at industry events, trade shows, and partner meetings to build brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
- Stay current on agronomy, agricultural finance, risk management, and retail channel trends through ongoing learning and industry participation.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of commercial objectives and organizational priorities.
Qualifications:
- Background in Agronomy, insurance, or agricultural finance experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience, including demonstrated success in B2B agricultural sales.
- Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close complex, partner-based commercial agreements.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical, financial, and operational concepts to both executive-level and field-level audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted-advisor relationships with Ag Retail leadership, agronomy teams, and manufacturing partners.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; comfort with virtual selling and collaboration tools.
- High degree of integrity, professionalism, and accountability in managing external relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
