Job Description:

Client Care

  • Instruct clients who are new to Pilates in our orientation programs which includes teaching basic principles of Pilates movement, equipment and studio orientation, and review of client health history and goals.
  • Provide a safe movement experience for all clients.
  • Lead clients in private, semi-private, and small group fitness sessions using Pilates reformer, tower, mat, and Exo-Chair.
  • Provide clear communication to clients regarding their progress, limitations, or modifications that need to be made to maximize their Pilates experience.
  • Recommend consultation with Physical Therapists or other providers when an issue falls outside your scope of practice and consult with PT when needed to ask questions about client safety or progress.
  • Instructors should have a working knowledge of using props such as the Pilates Arc, a foam roller, and magic circle.
  • Communicate with the office manager regarding client needs or questions.

Teamwork

  • Complete introductory checklists and notes for all new clients.
  • Use Walla to communicate any pertinent client information that needs to be shared between instructors.
  • Perform basic safety checks on all equipment used for teaching.
  • May need to convert reformer machines to tower set up between clients or classes.
  • Participate in tidying activities in the studio including wiping down all equipment, restocking props, towels and helping to keep the space presentable and organized.
  • Use Walla software to manage scheduling, payments, and communication for clients.

Schedule Management

  • Instructors work with the front desk and office manager to maintain their schedule.
  • Make time off requests in advance (minimum of three weeks) for known trips, vacations, events, and work with the front desk to have adequate client and class coverage.
  • Work with the front desk to fill empty slots on the schedule by keeping a list of clients who may be able to fill a slot and engage in marketing efforts such as blog writing, social media videos and more.

Pay: $25.00 - $60.00 per hour
