Full job description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our team. As a Pipelayer, you will be responsible for installing and repairing underground pipelines for various construction projects. This is a physically demanding role that requires knowledge of blueprint reading and experience operating heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout and depth of pipelines
- Excavate trenches using bulldozers, backhoes, or other digging equipment
- Install pipes and fittings according to specifications
- Connect pipes using welding or other joining methods
- Inspect and repair existing pipelines as needed
- Operate forklifts, loaders, and other heavy equipment to transport materials and equipment
- Use pipe lasers to ensure proper alignment and grade of installed pipes
- Assist with concrete finishing and forming as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipelayer or similar role in the construction industry
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting construction plans
- Knowledge of pipe materials, fittings, and joining methods
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, forklifts, and loaders
- Familiarity with oil and gas pipeline installation is a plus
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
