Process Operator - 2nd or 3rd Shift

G&S Foods is a central PA based snack food company operating in Hanover, PA. We are a co-manufacturer of sweet and salty snacks from popcorn to chocolate-covered pretzels. Our Process Operator position is full-time with a stable work shift throughout the year and great benefits including attendance bonuses and employee appreciation events!

Our Process Operators are reliable team members responsible for

• Pretzel oven operations including oven control adjustment to meet moisture specifications
• Caustic cooker operations including Cooker control adjustment to meet color / pH specifications
• Fryer operations including control adjustments
• Extruder operations including set up and adjustments
• Operating the forklift to supply kitchen / mixer operators with ingredients
• Mix and add seasonings to processing equipment per recipes.
• Assist in quality assurance with samples of finished product
• Complete paperwork required for the production function

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:

• Previous forklift experience required
• Previous food processing experience required

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use of hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach
• Occasionally lift, carry, and move up to fifty (50) pounds
• Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

Shift Times:

• 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm-10:30pm
• 3rd Shift: Sunday 9:30pm-7:00am, Monday to Thursday 10:30pm-7:00am
